Parts question?

I have a 78' c/20 that has a rusted out bed. I am new to the truck scene and was wondering if this bed i found is too much money. Too me it seems high but i thought i would let people who know more about these things point me in the right direction. Thanks.

Re: Parts question?

Of course it is going to vary by region on this sort of thing. Those in the rust prone areas are going to have a harder time finding rust free items. I run across 8' beds all the time in the paper and on craigslist etc. For $300 I'd expect the cab as well as the bed on a rolling frame, that's in my area though. We have minimal rust, most of it is imported in from other states.

X2 I agree it varies by the area...I paid $300 for just a bed in my area that had minimal rust on it and was happy with the purchase (rust is a problem in my area). Check your local craigs list for parts...no bidding, go an look before you buy, able to dicker on the price...it is much better than ebay. You might also call around and check with local salvage yards to see what they get for complete beds.
