Humming noise
I have a 1999 silverado 1500 z71 with a 4.8. There is a humming noise coming from under the truck sounds like the fuel pump but just replaced it. Any Ideas?

Re: Humming noise
Did you change your fuel filter?
The one on my 03 will do that sometimes. Usually after I pull a load on a trailer. It will be loud for a day or two, and then go back to normal. |

Re: Humming noise
what brand of fuel pump did you use? i know on these truck alot of the after market pumps do not last as long as an oem gm pump and are noisy. my friend had one replaced 5 times in 6 months before the shop put in a gm pump and its been fine since

Re: Humming noise
I used a napa fuel pump and yes i did chenge the fuel filter along with the fuel pressure regulator on the fuel rail lol. The humming always stays the same no matter what and is always there. Now that i think about it the humming really started after i put the fuel pressure regulator valve in. Any thoughts????

Re: Humming noise
thats because they run harder to produse the some amount of pressure as a factory pump thats why they dont last as long
