Question about flipping the cab - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I have the cab of my 65 off the fram sitting on my driveway and I need to get to the bottom of it to make some repairs. I was thinking of rolling it on to it's back pointing the firewall up, but I'm concerned that it might damage the lower corners of the cab. Has anyone tryed this?

the guy that painted mine had it ons it back one day I showed up.no damage.You may want some one to help you so you dont drop it on its back.

Im in the middle of swapping cabs on my 62. I have a nice 60 cab replacement. I rolled the cab on its back on the back of my dove tail wrecker by myself (its heavy)! Just to clean the surface rust and paint. Didnt damage anything (no doors or glass just a shell of a cab). Recomend help if you can get a friend over the shop. Key is to go slow and take your time.

Mine is on it's back too
As a bare cab(and I mean bare)I can roll it on it's back myself,as k20 said, its heavy
A piece of wood at each corner couldn't hurt
