78 gmc wiper arm removal

Ok,probably a dumb question for most of you out there,but how do i remove the wiper arms on a 78 gmc so i can reposition them? Thanks.

There is a little tab under the base of the arm, you need to depress this (which "frees" up the arm) while pulling the arm up at the same time. A small screwdriver works well for this...just be careful not to scratch the paint.

Took me forever on one of them because the IDIOTS who painted my fender a couple years ago don't know how to mask off anything and painted the spline! %$@^!&
