mirror help

Hey guys. I removed these mirrors from a donor truck to use on my truck and discovered that they had wires. Also noticed the black ring around the mirror frame. The wires were not hooked up to the donor truck. Does anyone know what these are? Maybe heated and or remote controlled mirrors? The wire harness has four wires. Thanks for any help.

Re: mirror help

Is that no the next body style? i was always under the asumption that the rod that supported the mirror was straigh on the older style, and on the newer style they had curve to them like yours. Any one know if this is correct?

Re: mirror help

87GMC, you might be right, now that I looked at the post. I tried hooking a hot wire to each wire, but was afraid to try to cross any, without knowing the correct wiring. There was no movement, so maybe they are heated, or there has to be a combination of wires hooked up at same time ? Anyone else know the answer ?

Re: mirror help

I'm guessing aftermarket mirrors, maybe off of a conversion truck/suburban.

Re: mirror help
