67-72's with caps/camper shells?

Did a search & couldn't really find much info.

My 70's only a 1/2 ton & a short bed ta' boot,so I'm not looking for a heavy slide in camper with everything including a kitchen sink.
Just a nice shell that fits & looks good.

Anyone got any photos &/or ideas on which caps from newer trucks
might work?

Re: 67-72's with caps/camper shells?

When I bought my '71 it had an aluminum camper shell on it but it did not fit right at the back. I took it off the '71 and put it on my '92 and it fit perfect.

It looked like the aluminum camper shell had been on the '71 for quite sometime though because there was very little rust inside the bed.

I think the beds on the 67-72 are a little narrower at the back than they are at the front.

I have one on my long box from an 89 ford it fits pretty good, and the angle at the front matches the back of the cab.

Re: 67-72's with caps/camper shells?

Try going to a dealer, I stopped to ask about one last week and they don't list any but that was not the answer I wanted. While I was there the guy called LEER and asked and they said they can pull the old molds and manufacture one in about two weeks, also can match color.

I have a 72 fleetside longbed and the price was around $1200.
