whats the best/safest insulation for my cab??

i have found lots of threads on insulating our cabs here, but nothing i've read has covered the very important subjects like.

******"health hazards"***** according to some MSDS data sheets most this stuff is bad in extreme heat conditions. and known to cause cancer and other health effects in labratory animals. (im glad im not a lab animal!)
http://www.cofair.com/pdf/msds/QRMat%20Safe%20Data.pdf

******"arizona extream heat" ****** the other important subject is dealing with 122 deg-up temps. i've read where as little as 100 deg temp can produce as much as 160 deg interior temp! also causing the "outgassing" effect. actually melting the product!.

so i would like to hear from all of you whom have knoweledge of a "safe" product.
whats the best? and the safest!?
is it ashfault or butyl product! or just ??

Re: whats the best/safest insulation for my cab??

Honestly, looking over the data sheet, there is nothing I would be worried about. The HMIS Hazard Rating was a 1, which rates as Slight.

I would be willing to bet that any new carpet would likely outgas more and cause more health hazard then the roof sheeting.

Also, not sure about you but I doubt I would be inside a truck cab at 100*+ with the windows rolled up. Either the windows would be down allowing enough air exchange or the A/C would be on and pulling fresh air and the cab temp would be much lower. Heck any gas fumes from the in cab tank would likely kill you first...

FWIW... YMMV

Re: whats the best/safest insulation for my cab??

I have friends that have used it and says it awesome. They say it performs and outlasts any other product. I also visited a small hotrod shop, and they use lizard skin exclusively.
