Dash swap 67-72

I want to swap the dash cluster in 2 of my trucks. They are both idiot light dashes, one with RH wiper control and one with LH. If I get a complete dashes, will the changes be simple? I am mostly concerned about plug in connections and the moving of the wiper control. Is this a problem? I know about the sender changes, so that's not an issue.

Any veterans on this? Terry

Re: Dash swap 67-72

Moving the wiper control knob is not much of an issue, BUT when you go to the guage dash there will be some wiring you will have to move around in the connector to avoid shorting. One of the vendors has a chart on which wires to move (can't seem to find it at the moment)

Re: Dash swap 67-72

link can also be found in the FAQ thread i did up on the electrcal forum. This is far from plug and play, if you try, then the fuel guage will go up in smoke and nothing else will work properlu either.
TRUST ME ON THIS!
