Help, Question about air filter - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

So i just got an 1987 GMC and that was the first year for the fuel injected engines. If I want to replace the air filter and ait filter casing, do I have to get a special kinda for fuel injected/ All the air filter casings are for carburators

. Will it still be the same?
