Best suspenion upgrades for 69 1/2 ton panel

I working on a restoration/upgrade project for a 69 panel 1/2 ton truck.I figure to lower front 3 inches and rear 2 to 2 1/2.I figure to step the sway bars up in size, use poly bushings thru out. Wondering what else would help this thing handle better.Don't figure to make it handle like my Vette or z/28 but better would be great.
I will also be transferring all weight lower and back when possible.Plus new shocks forgot about that. Will be using spindles for drop up front and srpings in the rear to drop it if that makes a differance.
Ive found disc brake conversions also ,that i plan to use as soon as I can pickup some more extra cash flow. The old lady says We are going to be moving into one if I keep spending.

You didn't mention what tires size you are running. Reducing sidewall flex will help improve handling. I would look at a rear sway bar as well.

Re: Best suspenion upgrades for 69 1/2 ton panel

Yea Im going with rear away bar I meant to mention that, sometimes my brain get about three paragraphs a head of my fingers. Not saying much considering Im slow at trying to type.As for tires Im looking for some 16 or 17 inche rally style wheels with 10s rear and 8 front.Ill decide on tires once I can find the wheels I want.I would like to have nice ride, don't mind good road feel ,but don't want my lidneys to fell like I just road my bobber style bike with ridgid rear for a 100 mile trip either.

While your considering wheels size be sure to see what tires are available. I have found these days 17's and 20's are very common so there are more sizes available for less $$$.
