Re: right stuff rear disc brakes
The problem with every kit is that they are incomplete. I have yet to find one that mentions or includes a proportion valve. You will need a proportion valve to make disc brakes work properly.

Re: right stuff rear disc brakes
You did check the application right? For Chevy trucks they only show a kit for the 9" ford axle. Don't recall if you've already made that change.

Re: right stuff rear disc brakes
Truckin' Magazine just did a great article on a C10 Brake Conversion to disc.

I like the Blackbirds kit; I believe Travis (TVBlazer) used it and I believe a few others on the board has used them and they like. I have spoken with Randy the owner and he seems pretty good to deal with. www.blackbirdscustomtrucks.com

Re: right stuff rear disc brakes
I offer rear disc brake conversion brackets, and you just purchase the parts necessary to complete the installation at your local auto parts supplier. The conversion that I have that is closest to the one posted here is my D52's with the Astro rotor. The Astro rotor measures 11.61" diameter and is 1.250" thick. That's the same size as the HD rotors on these trucks. There are some nice options with the D52 calipers also. Here is a link to my for sale thread.......Check out the total cost post (#32) I made as well.

Re: right stuff rear disc brakes
Being able to walk up to the counter at most any parts store and ask for parts by make and model, priceless.
