Sheetmetal gauges??
Well, I finally bit the bullet and started stripping down my 71 for the restoration and LSX swap. The cab was my biggest concern... as I was unsure of how much rust was there. To my surprise it wasn't as bad as I thought. Rockers of course, cab corners, and a little floor board.
My question is this... Is there a list of the sheetmetal gauge for production parts? For example... i know that some of the replacement patch panels are thinner gauge material than the original. I don't want to repair my floor pans with thinner gauge sheetmetal. Can anyone give me details on this? Who do you guys recommend getting patch panels from? Thanks |

Re: Sheetmetal gauges??
Check with Wes at www.classicheartbeat.com He is a site vendor here and I have seen and checked out the metal he sells and it is first rate. Plus he uses the same pieces in his shop to fix the trucks he works on. I need to get a set of rocker panels from him this fall as mine are getting that "see through" look to them.
