1 or 2 piece driveshaft and U Joint size ?
I am building a 67 shortbed with a powerglide automatic,I found a one piece driveshaft from another truck that will fit .My problem is the U Joints are bigger on the one piece than my two piece driveshaft.I have the yoke which fits into the tranny so all I need is the coupling on the rear end to be switched to one that will take the larger U Joint size. Any problems I may encounter with this swap ? And does anyone have the larger size coupling for the rear end that I can buy ? Thanks

Looking thru my LMC catalog they only list a small U Joint 1 1/16 for the back on all trucks. They do list this size for the front of truck equipped with heavy duty transmission.I looked at a 4 x 4 and it also has the smaller U Joints. This driveshaft has 1 3/16 size holes for the U Joints, does anybody know what this may have come off ? I only need to switch the rear end connectipon to 1 3/16 to make this driveshaft work, anybody know where i can find one ? Thanks

u-joints
They do make u-joints to fit multiple dimensions couplings. Like 2 different size caps. Just take both pieces to napa and they or a good driveline shop can match em up.
