Hooking Up MSD 6A Ignition Box

Whats the best place to mount the msd box and hook it up. I got a used one that didnt come with any directions. I checked msds site and got some info but just wanted to see how you all had done it. Thanks

Two secrets to making a 6A last. Keep the power and ground cables as short as possible, and keep it cool! In my Camaro I mounted it in the glovebox and ran the power and ground through the firewall. Hot is hooked to the solenoid and ground to the engine block.

I mounted mine just outside of the power brake booster on the firewall. I think it looks ok, but thats just me. And I like it.

i've bolted it on the fender close to the battery. Heat can damage the thing so some guys run the box inside the cab.

my 6btm is mounted to the pass fender as well.. that heat sink idea aint bad though... migh have some cooling fans added hehe
