Somebody in Alberta - Save these trucks
http://edmonton.kijiji.ca/c-cars-veh...AdIdZ220600493
The ad says this guy will be crushing all these trucks after August 30th, 2010. I have no idea what shape any of them are in but it seems like an awful shame.

Re: Somebody in Alberta - Save these trucks
It is a shame, seeing all those diamonds-in-the-rough crushed. I hope someone up yonder can save them.

Re: Somebody in Alberta - Save these trucks
Really stuck on crushing them to, I have left countless emails and phone messages and not even a word back, it's 3 hrs from my place so I can't risk driving my fuel sucking diesel with a rented trailer there to not find a 5 window 50's or a 67-72 useable cab, pretty angry

Re: Somebody in Alberta - Save these trucks
that's the worst part I can clearly see several of what I am looking for, but hard to know if there's a useable cab, and who knows what's left the view counter show's thousands of views, it"s definitely a piss off, I'm all for crushing vehicles of no worth and turning them into useful items, but these aren't run of the mill junkers, 90% of them look like restorable classics, not like they're chevettes and tempos, worst of it all is the 67cab in the bottom right of the picture with the small window is exactly what i want

Re: Somebody in Alberta - Save these trucks
Could also be a cruel joke.. remember every ad on Craigslist may or may not be real... I am going with the not real so I don't have to drive 2470 miles.

Re: Somebody in Alberta - Save these trucks
I entered that address into Google Earth. It's a valid address, but it looks like the trucks aren't at that address.
Also, $450? Is that per vehicle? That seems awful high for the "crush rate".

Re: Somebody in Alberta - Save these trucks
Checked it out. Not much left, and what's left is in pretty rough shape.
Typical rust issues or stripped. If your local it might be worth checking out, but I wouldn't travel too far. He's an active auto wrecker who is tired of cheap people who want everything for free. At the end of August he's gonna clean it all up. Sorry guys
