After market cruise control, Who has it?

I'd like to put cruise control on the blazer. I see Ididit has a kit for non computerized cars. Any other ideas? Anyone added CC on their ride? Thanks, Chris

Re: After market cruise control, Who has it?

I have a spare Cruise control box from an 81 with cables from trannie and to the speedometer. It is basically a vacuum switch. It needs the brake switch and the carb "puller".

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

I have one in my `70 and it works great. You have to buy the magnet kit but it's a simple install.

Re: After market cruise control, Who has it?

I installed an Audiovox CCS 100 cruise control on my truck about 10 years ago. I got it from JC Whitney for about $100 - $120. It still works good on there.

If your not wanting to put it in yourself, I think that Car Toys has one. That is if you have a Car Toys near you.

Re: After market cruise control, Who has it?

The cruise control from Dakota Digital looks just like mine. Mine is called Global Cruise and I believe it was marketed under several different names. The system that JC Whittney and Summit carry seem to be the same systems with different names and of course different prices. I have had mine since 2003 and it works great.

That is very possible and very likely. I should have looked at Summit. Oh well.
