Re: 84 C10 Project

I found this paint color on this board a while back and I loved it from the start. It maybe a little bit lighter than you were wanting, but, I thought I'd share. Its a mix of House Of Kolor's orion silver, and galaxy grey.

How about dodges charcoal, PDR paint code if I'm not mistaken. My jeep Comanche was this color.

Thanks!
No paint and body guy yet, since I have a ways to get to that point…. although I wish I was to the painting stage already.

Re: 84 C10 Project

Been a while since I have been able to work on the truck with everything going on. Set aside some time today to try and wrap up the rear suspension. I trimmed the notches, but they need to go more in order to get the proper ride height set up.

Re: 84 C10 Project

I was able to pick up a cab the other day, for a killer deal. It has lizard skin coating on the bottom of the cab, floor and inside roof. The guy was going to put it on a 4wd truck, so he already installed a high hump tunnel and seam sealed it in there.

Re: 84 C10 Project

Travis
Just read through the thread. I like it. Don't know if you found anyone to help with the bumper chroming? But, I found a company in Texas and told them what i wanted to do with my front bumper. About the same you did with rear and shaving bolt holes. They said do the best welding you can get done and they would make perfect and chrome and send back for about 350. Ill check my emails and get contact info if interested?

Re: 84 C10 Project

Thanks!

I did not find someone, but sounds like the company you found will be good place to send it to. We go to the Dallas GG show in October, so if they are in that area, I could stop by and see them when ready.

Please send me the info when you can..... thank you. I am a ways off, but will keep it on file.

Re: 84 C10 Project

Worked on the truck a little this weekend, and almost got the notches all welded in. I did receive my Boyd Tank and was able to test fit in the rear, and looks like it's going to work well.

I don't usually post pictures of my welding (since it isn't that nice), but I have been practicing, and pretty pleased with the outcome lately.

Re: 84 C10 Project

Thanks!

No updates, just been swamped with work, and finishing the 63 project we have going. Hoping to be back on this again, early next year.
