I have power brakes.....with a booster from an 81 and the rod had to be fabbed to work (chopping welding etc.)....it had a small threaded bolt between the eyelet that connects to the brake pedal and the other end that goes into the booster.
this was done by the drunk mechanic who screwed up my 307. One day the pedal was clicking real bad...so before i left town I ran it in my folks yard and would slam on the brakes....about the third time the pedal gave and luckily vacum escaped from somewhere on the booster and shut my engine off.....if it hadn't I would have a basket ball hoop in my windsheild. I'm glad it happened then and not on the free way!!! The bolt was too short and had like two or three threads holding it in to the eyelet part. I got a longer bolt, screwed it in and super glued it to each part and made sure it didn't happen again. Since then I have been on a magical quest of dissapointment to find that damn lever thing.... whoa...lots of words... -THANKS!!! -Roger
