2 tone truck paint questions

Hi guys I have a few questions my painter wanted to know. I will be painting my truck similar to the one below. My painter called me today and wondered if the white in the middle went into the door jams. He also was curious if the roof inside was white originally. I told him even if it was I wanted it all red inside, but was not sure what to say about the jams. Also one more thing was is there a measuring spot etc and where to start the white on bottom and stop it on top? Thanks so much for anyone help and pics would be nice.

Re: 2 tone truck paint questions

well never the less, if it was me i would just paint it that way, (inside) white roof, red dash and also the door panel/jams same as the outside, i think that would look nice, but if im not mistaking the door jams are red and white but the whole interior is all red.

Here's how I did mine. If you don't paint to that edge, you'll have a vertical red stripe visible in the middle of your white stripe. As you can see, I did red inside as well.

Yep, this way is correct. Here's some pics of the inside of the doors the way the factory did them, it's harder to mask, but looks the best. Just ignore all the junk in the background. Here's some pics of it during painting. http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/conver...0-4l80e-2.html

Re: 2 tone truck paint questions

I have an original paint blue and white cab that I am going to be using on my 71' this go around. You should see how nice the factory actually painted the edges of the white. Trevor
