power steering gear box ?

I have a 67 C10 I want to convert to power steering, and wondering can I use a gear box I have in my garage from a 72 Chevelle? Curious and on a budget. Thanks Brandon

Re: power steering gear box ?

I can't remember, but I think the Chevelle box mounts to the inside of the frame. that makes everything backwards since C10 are mounted outside. Take a look at the one you have I may be wrong, I'm getting old

Re: power steering gear box ?

MAK191 is correct, the car unit is inside and the truck's is outside of the frame. I just got one off a 78 suburban and it's the same as a 72. Got gear, pump, hoses, and a sway bar for $65 at a pick your part.
