Windshield tint

So I am looking to have someone come out and do a windshield install on my truck and notice they have 3 options. Clear, Green tint and Green tint with Blue shade at top. What do you guys think?

Re: Windshield tint

I vote clear, as I'm not a fan of tinted windows, but seeing that you're in Texas makes wonder if it gets too damn hot for clear. Lol

Re: Windshield tint

I always go for the clear windshields. In my experience the upgrade glass is usually clear, and the cheap aftermarket glass is tinted to make is seem like more of a bargain. Before ever buying a "blended" windshield, make sure to see it first. Many of the offshore blended windshields have the dark shade band extending so far down from the top it's right in the line of sight blocking driver vision. The other thing I've seen in these windshields is many are considerably thinner than a stock clear windshield, often leading to leaks because they don't fill up the gap in the gasket.

Re: Windshield tint

^^Mark beat me to the reasons, but I also voted for a clear windshield.
