1982 gmc

Just a couple of questions about my new truck that maybe you guys can answer since my truck is still 3 hours away from home. Its an 82 GMC 305/Auto. What trans would be in this truck? Also is it computer controlled, or am i still safe in that regard as far as adjustments.

Thanks
Gregg

Likely 700R4. It could also be a TH350C (TH350 with lockup torque converter). Pan shape will tell you.

Re: 1982 gmc

Mines got a 305 backed by a TH400, so its hard to tell, also not a 82.
