found a weird EBAY TACH... mech and only to 4k

I thought I would post this in case someone needs it.. I actually bid and then realized it was a mechanical tach that only goes to 4k.. I dont know much about them but thought it could be rare or someone might want to snag it. If you have any info on it please post.. like what its out of.

That is what another board member was thinking as well. He almost caught me thinking it was a 1/2 ton truck tach. Then I started looking closer.

This would work on your 6.5 project if you had a way to hook up a cable driven tach to the 6.5.

They usually have a provision with a drive gear on the engine somewhere. It usually has a area that has thread near the injection pump that will drive the tach.

yeah I know.. that seemed really high for a as-is auction with a guy with bad feedback.. Still though it probably is a harder to find item.

If you look close it has a gauge in the dead hole but on my laptop I can't make it out, most likely air pressure.
