84 to 73 parts swapping, need info
Can I put '84 front fenders, core support, grille and hood on a '73 cab? How about putting '84 power steering and brake booster on the '73?

Should bolt up fine. As long as you use the core support you mentioned it would work. The power steering and brake booster should as well. Might look at connections on the power steering gear box compared to hose. May be different but probably not.

the 84 gearbox has a metric o-ring style pressure inlet while the '73 has std. flare. The input spline count & dia. might also be different.

What if he used the 73 hinges with aftermarket hood braces? The braces would stregthen the hood and if needed to he would have steel if he needed to drill holes for new bolt holes placement due to the different style hinge bolt holes in the upper arm.

The mounting for the hood hinges are different, I don't think you would be able to use the 73 hinges.. The cut you have to make for the 81-87 hinges is a pretty simple one to do, if you have the hinges and fenders you can just set them up to the truck, mark what you need , and cut it out..
I have done this swap, I put an 82 clip on my 78. All that i did was take the rubber gasket that sits under the hinge for a template, it bolted up great, the only other thing that you need to get is the windsheld wiper assemble( all the posts and brakcets that sit under the cowl area) because the 82-87 has a cowl panel that is stationary, and 73-80 the cowl is part of the hood. No the 73-80 stuff will not work, the posts for the wipers are shorter, so they can mount under the hood, the 81-87 stick out a bit more to clear the cowl piece... Sorry for the novel, just like to help out, enjoy..

A hose place can modify the hoses, or adapters are available.
