Back from my 711 mile round trip. Gas Mileage

I took off on Saturday around 12:30 for Minneapolis Minnesota. On the highway going 65 I got 15.4 mpg. On the interstate going 80-100 I got 12.5 . This is with a .030 350, Vortec Heads, 218/218@.050 cam, Performer RPM Air Gap intake, Edelbrock 750 Carb, Hedman headers, 2 1/2 pipe, 700R4 with 2,200 stall, 3.73 gears and 26.5" tall tires and a 5.5" drop. I think its pretty good. Went the entire way and didn't have one problem at all. Got whooped at the show though, but who cares. The guy that won trailered his. I'll be back up there in July for the Car Craft Nationals. Next weekend is also another road trip to Brookins SD for another car show. Fun Fun Fun

I also got to meet Da Burb and Class of 69. Really nice guys to hang with.

Fresh rebuild with a Transgo shift kit. Kicks you through the seat from 1st to 2nd and just shifts real tight for the rest of the gears. I love it. 5,000 miles on the tranny and I rod the crap out of it and its still like day 1

Sounds relatively similar to my setup (fresher engine, tho) and my mileage. Nice.
