I will be out of the office.....
I do not know if this is the right place for this and if not I opologise, but this is where most of you will read it.
I will be out of the office today 09-28-10 thru the 1st of Oct. I am going through my 6th Knee surgery and this time they are replacing the entire knee. Wish me luck!! I have a problem with waking up in the middle of these proceedures, and my memories are not good from them... I will try to log on from in the hospitol, but I don't know if I will be able to or not... WES

Re: I will be out of the office.....
wes, good luck to you. tell them you don't want that cheap, chinese anesthesia. only good ol' made in the usa stuff. and don't take your computer into the OR anticipating waking up and posting. they probably have limited WiFi in the OR anyway. all the best with your recovery

I like Michael Jacksons' drug of choice...propafol (sp?).
Hope all goes well with your surgery. Good knees are under-appreciated.

Re: I will be out of the office.....
Best of luck to you from the owner of two full knee replacements!!!! Remember, drugs and laptops don't mix! Toradol is a great post surgery anti imflammatory that can easily diminish, maybe even replace, the use of pain killers. Ask about it..... And heal soon!

Amen. from the owner of 1 bad knee & 1 real-bad ankle: "Well, Mr. Ellis, you may think you've only got a broken leg, but it looks like we're going to have to take your foot off....."
(They didn't, but I do limp pretty good, & have, for almost 30 years --- if limping can be described as "good.") Best wishes for a speedy & complete recovery. Physical therapy sucks. |

Hope you don't get one of those piece of crap Taiwanese knees. They don't fit worth a crap without a bunch of grinding a welding.

Re: I will be out of the office.....
Looks more like one of them poorly welded C-Notches than a replacement for a knee.
Glad your back. Hope you have a speedy full recovery and it purs like a GMC on the highway.

Re: I will be out of the office.....
Hi Wes, hey I remember both my knees looking like that. Had the first one done and went in for my six week check up and told the doctor lets do the other one. Seriously I had very little pain after the second day. I walked two steps the nite of the surgerey. And by the thrid day I went the whole way around the wing i was in. It was the five days in rehab in a rest home that just about killed (no smoking and crappy food). I'm almost two years out now and tell everyone I wish I had done it ten years ago. Wish you the best on your recovery, hang in there it get better.
Tom

Re: I will be out of the office.....
No appoligies are needed Wes! Good luck with the recovery!! I hear a lot of folks feel way better after a replacement like that, now if they could come up with a good ankle replacement so i could walk normally in my bare feet!
