If it was me I'd try to loosen the bed side bolts a little and see if that gives you any room. What did you use on the wood? I really like the way it turned out.

Huh hope that isn't the stuff people keep saying cracks and shrinks cause that would suck to see as it looks real slick the way it is now.

Re: pics of new paint and a question!!!!
If it gets left out for extended periods of time just about all of it will shrink and crack due to the heat cycles of the wood. I used straight poly wet sanded between coats and finished in the same method that is used on bowling alley floors (they buff with a wool type bonnet when the top lay scims over causing the material to bond in a cross pattern and gives strength) on the sides, edges and bottom i mixed linseed oil and poly 1:1 and did the same process. The linseed oil acted as a carrier and the oak gained a ton of weight. Nearly 9 years later there are no scratches, cracks or fatigue. The truck is inside all the time, but we have humidity and temp variations. No problems and do not expect any.

Re: pics of new paint and a question!!!!
I take it that you sealed the back side of the wood too? That is very important, it plays a big roll in the ability of the wood to absorb moisture. The expansion and contraction that comes from the movement of water in and out of the wood is what cracks the finish.

Re: pics of new paint and a question!!!!
I would not have thought of trying to assemble a wood bed floor fleetside bed the way have done it ? I would assemble the floor wood and cross sill FIRST then bolt the bed panel's on to the floor , same process as you would assemble a metal floor bed , with the bed allready bolted together it will be difficult to install the wood ?? you will have to take a lot of the bolt's loose to allow room for the wood to fit and then tighten everything back up ,,,
