hey, thanks a lot jeff!! btw.. i'm using a holley elec pump but there's no regulator.. red pump.. doesn't need one.. fact. set at 7 psi.. the filter is a summit canister style. pump and filter are both 3/8 npt fittings. Also, why do i need a 90 deg. swivel for the vent? can't you just bend the line to where you need it? i don't see the point of the 90 deg. fittings when you can just bend the line where it needs to go.. am i missing something? once again though thanks for the list! almost got it visualized how and where everything goes together now..

I just suggsted that for looks and "wow" factor, you can do what you said or do what Greg did, get a 90 deg non-swivel...all three will work. Glad I could help.

I like the tank mod there!! I had problem with my tank on my 83 when i took it to get a alignment. I came back to pick it up and noticed a pan under the truck catching gas as it dripped. They tore a hole in it pulling it onto the rack. I will be adding a fuel cell as well.

For you guys going from carb to fuel injection and don't want to modify any thing at the tank,I saw a pretty neat deal in one of my catalogs the other day, think it was Summit or Jegs.It is a tube with an inlet that you splice into your fuel filler hose and dump the return line back into the tank without having to braze an inlet to the tank itself.Pretty ingenious.

Good Luck

Tom

I put the 90 degree fittings on top due to clearance, I didn't think the hose would have enough room to bend back down without kinking once the bed was on. A bulkhead fitting is any fitting that goes through a 'wall', whether it be a gas tank wall, a firewall, etc.
As for using the braided line, the best combination of tips I found was to measure then wrap the area to be cut tightly with electrical tape. Make the cut using tin snips (thanks Mike!!!), which will allow you to 'clean up' the cut. Leave the tape on and use STP oil treatment for lube (thanks again Mike!). Work the hose into the fitting with a lot of pressure and a twisting motion. Once it's in, trim the exposed tape with a razor. Screw the other side of the fitting in, if done properly the tape should remain hidden. Good luck!

I didn't exactly like the way that dash was done, I'd like to do a twist on it too. I've got mine down to bare nothing, want to come to Tulsa and torch it?
