Single gas tank side?
I'm just curious here...my '73 has dual tanks, but I'm wondering if it came from the factory that way. The passenger side has the normal 20 gallon tank with the cap on the bedside. The driver side tank is aftermarket, very heavy steel with a custom locking gas door. It also has two seperate electric fuel pumps, so all the original plumbing is gone.
IF my truck left the factory with only one tank...which side would it be on? |

Re: Single gas tank side?
My 73 single tank was on the right (passenger) side.

Re: Single gas tank side?
My '74 is single and is on passenger side (right). I really think '73 did not have the option for an auxiliary tank, but I'm wrong a lot.
*edit* And I'm wrong, they were available according to below. http://brochures.slosh.com/index.shtml?1973

Re: Single gas tank side?
Thanks for the info...I think mine probably started as a single tank. Would a '73 have the same style tank switch as a '79?
