Re: 1964-66 chevy Power steering

Thanks DPowers

A power steering conversion is definitely worth the effort. The parts are readily available and it is easily done in a weekend. The only exception is if you have a 292 I6. The power steering pump brackets for those are extremely hard to find and $$$$$ when you do find one. Let me know if you're interested in a steering box plate, or anything else that I offer. Links are in my signature line.

Do you have any pics of your brackets? I made some work on mine...but am unsure if they are correct.

I sent you a PM.

Up in the top right hand corner where your user name shows up, including the last time you visited this site, it says 'Private Messages' Click on that and it will take you to your inbox. If you would rather place an order via email, my email address is captainfab454@hotmail.com

O. K. I have a 292 I6 so what are the options?
Does someone have a photo of one? Do they make aftermarket options?

Lucky, if you can fab some, there is an option to the original factory brackets and pump. Its what a lot of street rodders do, and it's my plan on my 292. Use a later generation GM Type II pump with remote reservoir! You may have to fab some for a mounting bracket, but you can mount the pump down low below the alternator.
