67 gas tank question

Are all 67-72 in cab gas tanks the same? I need to replace gas tank and filler neck on my 67.

I believe they will all interchange, but the 72 tanks are EEC tanks (Evaporativr Emission Control) tanks. They have a tube that runs from the neck to the tank. You need the appropriate cap for which ever tank you use.

I agree they should swap but I believe the neck sizes can be different. Seem to recall two size grommets available.
