Re: 71 AC CAB (No Title)
Are you the last registered title holder? If not what can you use this cab for? With out a title how can you title it, or license it?

Re: 71 AC CAB (No Title)
Although possibly frowned upon(I don't have a problem with it), you can just pop this vin off and place your vin on the cab. All you would need is the rosebud rivets(obtainable). There are subtle differences in cabs throughout 67-72, but nothing really major.

Re: 71 AC CAB (No Title)
This was exactly what I was going to do, I have my vin off a 68. If you currently have a truck registered you can just pop the vin and replace with yours.

Re: 71 AC CAB (No Title)
I get back in about 3 weeks and I would do just that pop the old vin off and put on the new. To all looking at this thread Afghanistan sucks. I'm just saying.

Re: 71 AC CAB (No Title)
Would a cab fit in the back of a longhorn? Not worried about the weight it should only be around 350 - 400. Like I said if this last I may have to make a drive up north.

Re: 71 AC CAB (No Title)
it will most definitely fit in the back of a longhorn, i put one in the back of a shortbed 2000 f150 and shut the tailgate
.

Re: 71 AC CAB (No Title)
CA vehicle code says you have to get written permission to mess with the VIN plates: http://www.dmv.ca.gov/pubs/vctop/d04/vc10750.htm
Are you selling just the cab or do you have the doors to go with it as well? What proof of ownership do you have for the cab? I would at least like to get the VIN so I can verify that it isn't stolen before I buy (not saying you stole it, but somebody else along the line may have). Also, can I see some pics of the typical rust areas? Floor, kick panels, cab corners, cowl & floor supports underneath? Check your PM box -- I sent you another question there.
