It may look rough from the outside, but the interior was sweet.
Lots of Chrome. I had switched all the knobs and gearshift and ashtray handle with oak. The seats looked almost like factory buckets, the center seat lifted up to give access to storage under. Honestly, the interior was done, the 283 was rebuilt, and I had moved on to the body. Needed the money, had a corolla for transportation, so sold it to some girl who worked at NAPA Auto Parts. I asked them if they knew who she was. They said not someone from 20 years ago, and couldn't tell me even if they did. I understood. Yep, need a cop friend.
