I'd have no issue with paying a little more for a quialty plated bumber that the plating is on both sides..so the rust doesn't start lifting the plate from the rear..
you could always paint the backside to keep it from rusting. The factory bumpers rusted on the inside so I doubt they were plated all around....

There are triple nickel and standard bumpers...the difference is quite large in the look and quality.
