Re: 1951 chrome grille

I found a couple of painted ones for 300/325 but 400 seems to be the going price for a decent chrome grill.

Re: 1951 chrome grille

That's real nice DG but it is 600 bucks which is way more than the 325.00 one he was looking for the link on.
LMC and Chevs of the 40's both show them for 400.00

I don't know who has the best quality or the not so good ones for that matter but let's help the man find one a bit closer to the price range he was hunting for.

Anyone have any knowledge of this one? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/New-C...Q5fAccessories

With free shipping that puts it right down in the 325.00 or less bracket.

Re: 1951 chrome grille

Ok, But if one clicks on your links the grill comes up 599.99 in each case. You have to go to the AD truck grill page and click on the Sale price to get the 337.50. That should be this page if it works right. http://www.brotherstrucks.com/products.asp?dept=443 Good price for that grill.

Re: 1951 chrome grille

I've bought some of my parts from Tuckers Parts in the past. Their products are always good quality I find.

Re: 1951 chrome grille

That is a good price but it says it is only good until 29th. Guess I'd better save some $$$ quick! maybe I should sell some plasma...

I do find it odd that they all say "splas" not "splash".

X 2,
I think mine was the same price from Brothers, but I bought some new lenses and gaskets and the shipping to Az was about the same price.
The grille was complete, but pick up a lot of bolts and blind nuts as they did not come with it. The grille was complete and "FUN" to install !!!

Re: 1951 chrome grille

Personally, when I was down at the Antique auto swap n shop in Portland earlier this year, I found a couple of vendors with rechromed originals for $450. If only I could remember or find the cards that I got from them! Rechromed originals are far better than the thin repops, IMO and worth the extra coin.

Just my $0.02

Ted.

Re: 1951 chrome grille

Classicparts.com used to sale the chrome w/cream back splash for $359, now its at $399. But, you can use stovebolt as the promotion code and get 10% off. It's roughly the same price as the Brothers price once you include shipping, but you don't have to hurry to get the sale price. Brothers charges around $50 for oversized, and classic charges $27. They both end up in the neighborhood of $385.
