Well I wired around the dimmer switch last night and Tada! So me and my girl took a drive, windows down listening to the purrr of 8cylinders. It was very cool! Thanks guys for all your help, gonna try to pick up a dimmer switch this week.

This just happened to mine tonight. I had to leave it parked at a gas station till tomorrow >
 This may be a silly question but is the dimmer switch you're speaking of the round push button style switch on the floor (kinda behind the e-brake)?

Awesome, thanks. I was told when I bought the truck about a month and a half ago that the high beams didn't work. The headlights have been working fine until tonight tho. Could this switch have been shorted out maybe and is also what's been causing my battery to drain every few days?

OK,
take the drivers side light out it has both it and the passenger side hooked to it. Turn the lights on and with your test light see if it has power to it. If not start back tracking until you find the problem. I beat it's in the head light connector. The connection behind the head lights has a ground wire to and it's broke I bet you. My daughter eclipse was the same way. Should have read all the post, glad you got it figured out!
