I had a co-worker come to me today with a offer from one of his neighbors- a 71/71 dual wheel optioned truck with 6 cylinder and 4 speed. The truck currently has flat bed and a welder on the back. Guy is going to pull welder and scrap truck, what is a fair price for this (i.e. scrap weight)? I will prob. buy and save cab and assorted pieces especially if a 292. Still have to go look at it closely, but looks good from 40 feet -haha.

Harold Scrap metal prices are low right now i just took a load. I would offer him 250-300. Hope you get it.

Badpurple- can I park it at your house?

I have lots of wants but very little room. Going to try to look at it on Thursday.

Went and looked at it today. It has been repainted once, it was a v8 truck with four speed. Door bottom on driver side good, but rusted out at the rear post of the door frame???? The cab has the firehat type clearance lights that look to be in good shape, but not much else - it would be hard to part and come out it paying scrap price for it. Going to try to get pieces off before guy crushes it - not worth the fight to drag it home unfortunately.
