Somebody help me, whats the deal?
i've been looking at sheet metal for my 72 short fleet bed. all i can find for the lower right side is for a long bed only. do you cut it?

Yep, yr suppose to buy the long and cut it down for a short bed. I need to do this too.

thanks, i thought that was the case at first, but, then one of the vendors has them listed as long bed only.

It seem to me a wrecker would be easier to get the part.
If you are a metal guy, cutting out the center and rewelding it would be simple. Cutting off the front and pounding the curve to create a front lip, is a skill.

i need the edges also, not just the center, i do have the skill to make the pieces but thats alot of work for no more than the cost. i don't know about the blazer panels. i was hoping someone had been through this and have the answers. mine has been rolled under in front of the tire pounded back out and bondo'ed. it's not rusty but it's a real mess.
