new springs/ tires?

ok, so my 1970 is hecka low, (not scraping pennies, but low) and a previous owner just heated the springs to get the effect, so now i've got a really bad ride, found a place close that will get me the springs for the 70 with a big block 398, (it now has a 454, but i think it'll work just fine) for a pretty good deal. right now i'm running 275 65 15R tires, and they look good lowered the way they are, but now that i'm going back to a stock height suspension (at least for a little while) i'm wondering how those tires will look at that height.?
does anyone have pics of 67-72 with those roadhugger tires on em with a stock or close to it ride height?

i was changing my oil yesterday, and with the front end jacked up i looked to see if the front would look ok a little higher, and it appears ok.
any opinions or ideas welcomed
thanks.

Re: new springs/ tires?

If your replaing the springs why not buy lowering springs? Several brands sold by our forum vendors and others that will give you a nice 2" drop.

Re: new springs/ tires?

I'm looking to go back to stock height first and see how she rides. What is the general consensus on those drop springs? Is it a smooth ride? How do they compare to regular stock springs?

Re: new springs/ tires?

well this last summer I finally put on my new stock springs and shocks. truck rides much nicer, if not quite so low. now my internal debate is on the tires. need to look up some pics of different tires with stock suspension to get an idea of what i like. I'll try and post some new pics as well of the new stance.
