need wiper switch

Who sells the best wiper switch for a 69 truck? Are they all made in China? Does anyone sell real Delco ones?

Re: need wiper switch

Various vendors on this site sell them. Why not go to the Home page and check out the list of vendors? I've bought from Wes (Classic Heartbeat) and he's good. There are many more.

Re: need wiper switch

All the repop wiper switches suck. To get them to survive, put a bunch of epoxy on the backside of them. I did this to one and it's held together for quite a while.

Re: need wiper switch

Thanks I will try the epoxy repair when I get one. I got one from LMC once and the terminals were loose. LMC told me to throw it away, and they gave me my money back. My wiper just started working by itself. The switch is off, but the wipers are working. I have a rebuilt motor, and it really works good with a dry windshield. I'll have to try it in the rain someday. HA

Re: need wiper switch

check out www.wiringharness.com

They are also known as M&H Electrical Fabricators. Their customer service is outstanding. They have harnesses and switches. You can contact their customer service by an 800-number or by email. Give 'em a call and ask about their switch. Their harnesses are the shiznits!

Re: need wiper switch

PM me if you still need a switch. I have an original switch with a new chrome bezel and knob.

Re: need wiper switch

I saw one somewhere that was a direct replacement but it had an intermittent system built in. I cant remember where I saw it so if anyone knows I would be interested. I remember it was being made by a small company but that's about it.
Anyway it looked like a quality switch and having the intermittent system built in is a plus.

LMC has one in their catalog but I don't know if it is a high quality part or not.

That would be me. I am not a paid 'vendor' and I do not 'try' to sell them here, but I do make them on a one-by-one basis for members if requested. Feel free to send me a PM if you need additional information.

Re: need wiper switch

I pulled the wires off of the wiper switch, and the wipers keep on operating. I then wiggled the wires on the wiper motor, and the wipers stopped. I guess my rebuilt motor is bad. I got it at Napa. What do you think?

Something is grounding out. The wiper motor has 12 volts going to it, the wiper switch grounds it to operate.
