Question Parts Interchangable?

1967-1970 year model Truck & Suburban.

Does anyone know if the passenger door from a 1969/70 door would work on the rear passenger on a Suburban?

Or are we talking about two different animals here and can not be swapped?

Another one is can this same 69/70 door be used as a regular passenger side door on the 1967 Suburban?

Thanks!

Re: Parts Interchangable?

First question:no.The Suburban rear side door is unique.

Second question:yes. But,the only difference is in the window frame. That can be swapped.you can convert a Suburban door to a truck door and visa-versa.

Re: Parts Interchangable?

its not a nut and bolt job, welding is needed.
So the quick and easy answer is no.

But from a '67 truck to '67 'burb there should be no problem, right?

Plus rocker panels etc from same year model.

Front doors window frames on any year model sub are different from any year model pickup. Subs are squared off at the back, pickup are rounded. Rear door on any model sub is smaller, ie, narrower than pickup or front door Sub. Frames can be swaped on front doors to make work but you will need to cut and reweld. Hope it helps.
