Re: Vehicle Wraps
I've seen the vinyl wraps done on a few imports and it can actually look pretty good, the problem is that even high grade vinyl will likely only last at max 5 years, and that's for the good stuff. You need UV protected as well so it won't yellow or discolor.

Re: Vehicle Wraps
The wrap won't hide lumps and bumps.

Re: Vehicle Wraps
My work van was wrapped by Skinz and it has held up pretty decent. They use the 3M material with the clear over it. It does actually darken with age. It scratches fairly easily if you are not careful and needs to be waxed once a year. For a commercial vehicle, absolutely...personal, maybe not. It will still show every imperfection under the wrap. We just had a Isuzu NPR box truck wrapped and it looked neon green compared to the rest of the fleet. It cost us 3,500.00 for a Express van and 2,800.00 for the box truck. My boss even had his Tige boat wrapped that I put together for him.

Re: Vehicle Wraps
Hey man its been awhile, I bought that tailgate from you awhile back, it looks great now, thanks!
I am good friends with a commercial producer at clearchannel radio in tyler, they recently got all of the station vans wrapped. I wasnt too impressed. Seams were pretty visible and there were air bubbles. I know a guy that got the top half of his white Dodge charger wrapped in black, and you can tell its a wrap. It is beginning to fade also, after only 8-9 months. It seems like a cheap alternative to custom paint, but then again its not much more than a big sticker to me. just my .02 cents
