Wheel alignment specs for 67 2 wd
I took my truck for an alignment after I put in ball joints & lowered it, but they didn't have the specs for something that old. I have a chassis manual but it only has toe in/out specs and I think that might be for a 4x4. Does anyone have the right specs? I need toe, camber/caster. Thanks

I don't have the specks handy but I can look it up tomorrow. I'll tell you what I set mine at & it handles & drives like a sports car. 2 Degrees pos. caster. 1/8 neg. camber & 1/16 toe-in. That is with radial tires & standard riding height.

Ok, here is my $.02 worth. I put drop spindles in my 69 SWB, and my Blazer is lowered somehow???
When I aligned both of them, I was looking for this: 0 degree camber 2 degree caster and 1/8th toe in setting Now here is the real world according to me: the camber and toe setting will effect tire wear, the caster will effect drive ability. When someone brings me an old car/truck to my shop, I am looking for how we can best help them with tire wear, and secondly drive ability. Most of the tire stores do not have an employee old enough to recognize this, SO see if you can find a shop near you that has an old fart ( me) and tell them what you are after. Sometimes you will run out of bolt where you install, or remove the shims to get you to where I want you to be. DO NOT give up camber or toe!! You might end up with 0 caster, or negative caster. This is the way I would go. The tire wear is foremost, and the caster issue is secondary. If I remember, I ended up with about 1 degree of caster with both of mine. Both drive great at 65 mph. Also remember that vibrations are NOT alignment related UNLESS the vehicle is badly out of alignment. 0 camber +/_ .5 degrees 1/8th" toe in 0-2 degrees +caster Last edited by cparman; 11-10-2010 at 08:35 PM. |

I was thinking power steering. It seems like if a guy has manual steering he would want about 1/2 degree caster.
