Did 85 K30's comw with cats?
The title is self explanatory, did my 85 K30 come with factory cat? It has a dual with mufflers only now. Anybody know?

I dont think so, I had an 86 K20 (hd smog guy said) that didnt and my 88 c30 doesnt have one either

It all depends on your particular truck, and if it had the emissions package. I have had trucks as old as 81 with factory cat. Looked at a 79 for sale by original owner the other day that had factory cat. My 87 V30 had a factory cat, but it got removed and replaced.

86 and earlier dont have cats if the gvwr is 10000 in 87 when tbi started everything had cats

Any chance the factory emissions sticker is still there? If so, it should have a diagram of the entire emissions system the truck came equiped with.
FWIW, my '79 9000GVW truck didn't come with a factory cat, my old '79 8200GVW did come with a factory cat.

My 89 had a cat on it. Door sticker says 10k, has smog pump too.
