T350 shift points
I have a 406 (~500 hp), a T350 (2800 stall) and a 3.73 posi. After installing the engine and rebuilt transmission, I noticed that transmission would shift very early, at about 2000 rpm, unless I get on it. I have what I believe to be an adjustable modulator...it has a screw in the vacuum nipple. Is there a rule of thumb of where to set your shift points with a stall higher than stock?

Re: T350 shift points
screw the screw in the modulator clockwise (in) to raise shift points,or recalibrate the governor.

Re: T350 shift points
Right but where should I set the shift points with a 2800 stall? Should I set the shift point slightly above the stall speed (3200 for example at 1/2 throttle)? Or is there some other way of determining the proper shift points?

Re: T350 shift points
I don't think there is a set point, I think you'll have adjust it to your liking
