vortec intake on std heads
Will a vortec intake match up to gen1 heads? I know I need to make new holes for bolts, I was thinking of intake ports and water ports. I have got a set of Brodix spec alu heads and an Edelbrock rpm air-gap laying i my garage, that I would like to give a try on my truck.

Re: vortec intake on std heads
port height is different and you would be prone to a vaccum leak. I remember a manifold early on in the vortec craze that was dual drilled and it had those troubles. Jim

Re: vortec intake on std heads
I have heard of it by using large washers under the center intake bolt heads. But I don't think I would personally.
