Initial Valve Adjustment
I'm doing final assembly on a 350. What is the proper way to set the valves for initial break-in? I'm using an "RV" style hydraulic cam, barely larger than stock, and Vortec heads.

Andrew68c10 go to the cranecams link go down to the section for
Using Adjustable Rocker Arms to set Hydraulic Lifter Preload The other link has so good info if you are concerned with geometery or clearances. I usually like to use a half turn on a new engine I'd rather be a little loose than to tight. Good Luck....Stroker http://www.hi-flow.com/HPValvetrainInstal..htm http://www.cranecams.com/master/adjustvt.htm

are you using self aligning rockers..or guide plates? Its easier to do the adjustments if the intake manifold is off
