Is a cable X required or an autometer speedo etc? (running a 2004 4l80e) I bought a factory electronic speedo from an 89-91 Suburban because someone told me that will be fine. True or no?
I run the cable X box b/c I wanted to run the stock gauge.
I dont see why a factory speedo would not work but it might take some work in the PCM to get the signal output correctly, dont know enough about those speedos......I would just take the VSS out of the PCM to run to the speedo.
