1985 Porsche 944/1

Just got something new to play with, picked it up for what I believe is a good price. 1985 was a split year car, and this is the 944/1. Has about 147k miles on it, the engine was well taken care of, all the routine maintenance was done by the PO and there are records in the service manual to prove it. Timing belt I believe has been replaced 2-3 times according to those records as thats something that wears out on these cars, as well as the water pump being changed. It has it's drawbacks, mainly the interior but that can be fixed for a price lol. Anyway, I'll try to keep this updated whenever something happens to it. Also, it had a paint job in late 1999, still looks great.

Cool, I actually rode in the back "seat" of a new one about 1988...not too much room back there.

Some people are like Slinkies... not really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.

Haha, I've noticed. I tried to sit back there, my knees wrapped around the drivers seat.

Re: 1985 Porsche 944/1

Well, me being a complete novice at upholstery, and the scary charge from the upholstery shop, I decided to install my own carpet. Ordered the "pre-molded' kit from stockinteriors. Was very fun is all I can say, with all the sarcasm dripping from those words. Haha.

I'll have pictures up tomorrow, soon I'll be tackling recovering seats..anyone done that?
