is there a way to closely allign my front end. i dont want to go to a shop

until i get new wheels on.but i want to be able to drive it on test drives while

im working on it.

p.s. its a 76 suspension and im putting in new tie rods.

Unless ur current tires are bad, I would align it, if you take it to Firestone, you can get a 1 time align or a lifetime align, might be worth it if your roads are bad where you live.

I'm assuming the '76 suspension has discs. Here's how I do it: Pull the wheels off and support the a-arms at ride height. Pull a string along the rotor face. The strings can be pulled out in front of the truck so you cam measure between them to set toe. Eyeball the camber and don't worry too much about caster. This method will get it drivable. Its fun to see how close you can get them with this method.

remove the dust cap and use a torpedo level to set the camber and use a tape measure and a friend to measure the toe
